Four Score and Seven Beers Ago... The Series Premiere of "Drunk History" Takes on Washington, D.C. Premiering Tuesday, July 9 At 10:00 P.M. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL®

NEW YORK, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Join COMEDY CENTRAL on The Hill for the series premiere of "Drunk History" on Tuesday, July 9 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the second season premiere of "The Jeselnik Offensive."  In the first of eight all-new episodes, inebriated storytellers and A-list talent will reenact great moments from the history of the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

The all-star cast will take on the Watergate scandal, the famed story of when Elvis (Jack Black) met Nixon (Bob Odenkirk), as well as the infamous and tragic feud between Edwin (Will Forte) and John Wilkes (Adam Scott) Booth.  Rounding out the cameos for this episode are Nathan Fielder as Bob Woodward, Dave Grohl as Elvis' mafia friend, Jack McBrayer as H. R. Haldeman, Stephen Merchant as Abraham Lincoln, and Fred Willard as Deep Throat.

Viewers can visit the show's Web site at cc.com/drunk for the entire premiere episode, preview clips, exclusive "Drunk Outtakes" and extended highlight clips.  The Drunk History Facebook page will offer additional content, including exclusive casting news and images.  Episodes of "Drunk History" will be available the day after air on iTunes, Xbox Video, Amazon Instant Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu and Samsung.  The premiere episode is currently available for free on these platforms.

Created for television by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, hosted by Waters and directed by Konner, each episode of "Drunk History" will take viewers on a tour of cities across America, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, San Francisco, and the Wild West.

Providing a unique take on the familiar and less familiar people and events from our country's great past are narrators including Kyle Kinane, Jen KirkmanNatasha Leggero, and Jenny Slate, who will stumble and slur their way through profiles on figures such as Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders, Patty Hearst, Lewis and Clark, Billy the Kid, and Edwin and John Wilkes Booth; seminal moments like The Alamo, Watergate, the Scopes Monkey Trial, and the Haymarket Riot; and stories such as J. Edgar Hoover's crusade against Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Harry Houdini's friendship turned rivalry with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the breakfast creation that led to the Kellogg Brothers' falling out, and the rise and fall of Al Capone.
